Seven Jars Distillery is not just a place to enjoy great spirits—it’s a living history lesson. The distillery’s roots stretch back to 1900, when a still was in operation until 1935. From 1930 to 1950, the site also hosted a dinner club and illegal casino, and from 1933 to 1948, it became a hub for illicit liquor transportation from Florida to Charlotte—all without ever being caught! At the event, you’ll enjoy a one-hour presentation detailing how bootlegging, the mob, and history all played a role in shaping Charlotte into the city it is today.
